Hi!  My name is Amy Lynne.  I started this company simply because I bought a sewing machine! Crazy I know!  I started sewing when I was around ten.  I think it may be a little longer or possibly shorter.  I remember standing on the back of my moms sewing chair,yes while she sewed, and just watched.  I would sit in the room watch her sew and watch WGN Saturday and Sunday at the movies with Roy Leonard.  I am aware I'm dating myself.  I just enjoyed watching her.  She always made the prettiest things.  She was terrific and was never afraid of inserting zippers! LOL!! She made my prom dresses, my sisters prom dresses, my dad's suits, my brothers clothing.  Once when my sister was upset because her friends had Guess jeans and we couldn't afford them so my mother made a pair of jeans for her and embroidered MaMa Mia jeans on them!  They were a huge hit, and a one-of-a-kind!  She was a terrific seamstress who loved sewing and she passed that passion along to me!

I am the mother of three wonderful boys who drive me absolutely batty!  They don't hang on my chair and watch me sew, although it would be odd seeing as one is 16 another is 13 and the last one is 10 and not much shorter than me!  But they do enjoy seeing what I create.

I also have 5 nieces aging from 18 to 20 months!  I love sewing for them or with them.  My two littlest nieces are my inspirations for my little girl clothing.  I love sewing for them and watching them hug what I make.  It's what keeps me going at 11 at night!

My 4 older nieces inspire me to create purses, handbags and applique shirts, and fun barrette keepers.  They give me feedback all the time.  Oddly enough it's always positive!  I think they want to keep getting bags and what-not!

A few words about our products. All items are either handmade or they are stock items that we embroider or applique. Many of the items we carry will have a limited amount made unlike the big chain stores. Thus allowing your little girl or boy to wear a unique almost one of a kind design! Amy Lynne Design products are unique to our company and we commit ourselves to a high quality item that will be loved and passed down for years to come. Most items are machine washable and dryable (low setting) including most of our bags.
